It was quite a challenge at first; I started off hand-writing labels and taking the bus to the post office, carrying about 2-3 trash bags full of merch to ship. It was hard work, but it only encouraged me even more to be outstandingly ambitious about starting my business. That motivation stretched even further when, during the year of 2017, I got kicked out of the house by my mother for smoking and posting YouTube videos about it. I was forced to stay with a friend where I was not allowed to shower and had to wear the same clothes for almost three weeks straight. At the time, my dream was to have my own apartment in Los Angeles, but I literally had zero dollars to my name. Thankfully, I have a supportive audience I refer to as my Beautiful BFF’S on YouTube who continue to support me day by day. I would not be where I am today, starting my business after only two years, if it was not for my Beautiful BFF’S! I am blessed enough to say that with dedication and time, I am finally living in my own little apartment in Los Angeles, but the dreams don’t stop there! Once I moved to Los Angeles from San Diego, I started to attend college at The Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising (FIDM). The entire reason why I chose to attend FIDM over any other college was because I specifically wished to get some sort of special connection to the business side of the fashion industry. I knew how to create and sell merch, but I also wanted to expand my knowledge to learn about how to create an alternative brand. A brand that caters to everyone, not just those who support LifeBeingDest. A brand that has just as much uniqueness as it does chicness. A brand that is fashion forward and also provides comfort.
